New upspring editor version, 1.3

Post by jcnossen »

I've released a new upspring version, fixing all known problems with textures.

Things have been a little silent around spring updates, but know that a new spring version is getting quite close to release as well...

Can someone just tell us what major things have been implemented in the head since .67 (and thus will probably be in the next release)?

EDIT: Here's the noticable stuff from reading the linux SVN changelog
unlimited mod sides count
Preliminary scons support for Darwin via Darwinports

Ticking "lighting" on a "render mode: texture" does not add shading, but instead turn all flat colors into white (shaded white). Lighting used to allow me to have nicely shaded model view in UpSpring 1.2, not anymore in 1.3 (I use a NVIDIA TNT2 in case that matters.)

Heya, so here's a neat unit/feature editor. When can we expect a full capable map builder? Then Spring would have some nice tools included with it :)

2 Maestro
This words from Interview:
"...actualy I never likes OTA..."
"...ugly OTA..." and so on.

Very strange, and not nice for all TA fans.
(else, with many things that have been told in this
interview, I not agree)

2 Zaphod
Thank You ! Very Good Tool !
I hope you will continue work, and finaly "UpSpring"
will be so convenient in work, how convenient in
work is "3DO Builder" v2.1

OTA as Cavedog unit set as opposed to TA mods.
Not OTA as opposed to Spring.

He meant that out from the box, TA units are ugly, but thanks to mod (such as .... WWII reborn! (ok, he never mentionned it, ut that was just an exemple of mod that change TA models)) TA became beautiful.
