I used to play spring a LONG time ago but quit after it become extremely buggy one patch.
I like NOTA but i hate how they restrict what maps you can play
I like BA but i do not like how big the units are. I like how Nota sized them down
I like absurd units like the black hydra (nota or BA?) and the giant mechs in BA.
and I need a chickens/alien buggs game mode. What should I play?

Re: In search of the right game
You could try Evolution RTS?
Look in the lobby, there is the Alpha server which has chickens (chickens haven't been merged with the "release" versions yet).
Maybe try metal factions? It's still kinda in basic stages but it seems quite complete and it looks really nice.

If you get bored of chickens, you could try metal factions.
Add a normal MFAI on your team and an "onslaught mode" MFAI as enemy on a mid-sized (16x16) land map.

There is a way how to avoid nota maps restrictionimmex5 wrote: I like NOTA but i hate how they restrict what maps you can play
- 1) There is developer mode of the lobby which allows you to host skirmish game with any map you want. Only you need is the map which is unpacked in <map name>.sdd folder.
- 2) Use any other client than notalobby and host server with any map you want. The restriction is only on the client side, the game itself is not limiting advanced users to try crazy combinations.
