Well? Why not? everyone else has one....

So, if your a mapper, and you don't already belong to a clan, you can join ours! All you need is proof you have made 1 half decent map. Which is subject to discression. Theres a wiki page even (yhe you can tell I only jsut made that... and how long it took so far.)

If you wanna join, eithere put your name on teh page yourself, and maybe links to your map/s or reply here, or even PM me.

Or have a good laff... but tahts why were here anyway.

well, any other time, any other place I would jump on this as being a good idea however...

The Ta and spring mapping communities are not the nicest I've been part of with the excepting of a few ppl.

You agorm, weaver, mufdvr, Noize (odd guy sometimes but he means well), and a few others.

I'm not sure I feel like having a group tell me what I can and can't do as far as maps go. I have my own style and when I make maps I make them primarily for me and secondary is everyone else. I am also my own worst critic believe it or not.

If this was to be a completely constructive group then I'm all ears, but if it's a bunch of guys trying to make their e-peni bigger, than I have no wish to be in that particular environment.

I'm not trying to be an ahole here, just trying to pry information on goals, ideals etc.

I really like the idea tho. and I AM interested ;P

Ashaf Plateau swung it for me Weaver, and PCB is novel! I like it! SO yoru in.

Ahhh Forboding Angel, you miss understod. Its a clan for when we play the game!!

I should make teh goles clear but tonight im on to much sugar to actully type well so You'll exchuse if i dont update the wiki page im doing.

But basicly:
1) People in clan because they love mapping
2) I think we should compile teh ultimate mapping tut with all outr knowgledge.
3) It's because often mappers arnt teh best gamers, but we still want to clan.
4) If people are knowen to be jerks tehy wont be let in, on consensus of the groupe. So if theers a guy thats always trying to grow his
e-peni bigger (other than me, but I dont actully mean any harm as I'm sure most people have found out) then they wont be allowed in, or will be kicked out.
5) It will serve as a place to test maps befor a public release. Obviolsy maps taht are made by teh caln can go on teh clans map page as maps that we made and we like. And while obviolsy we wont say "thast good" to crap, we'll be constructive and seeing as it's members will be the mappers that alraedy have a map or two under the belt, i doubt we'd actully ever have to tell someone to ditch a map and slag tehm off, unless its one of mine, and i do that to my maps anyway.

Can work on huge super map progects with somewere commen to meet (once i do a site) and with us being able to distribute out things to pople with skills in certain areas. But nothing will be forced

All very casual.

awesomeness. I'd be delighted to be able to get my maps screened by other mappers before I release them to the public at large.

Ok agrom, thx for clearing that up for me ;P

As it is I am already in a group of sorts whish is "Forboding Angel, Bigsteve, Drexion, Davethebrave, Decimator.

However, I would be happy to be in said clan Assuming that it's not taken too seriously ;P

Well, If people want to take advantage of the Guild part of it, but would liek to stay in there current clan, I dont see why I can't have Player Members and Non-Player members, IE one's taht also play as clan members and others that just use teh team spirte thing.

I would be happy to play with the "mapper" clan/group/guild ;P

One question, do you guys ever play? Reason I ask this is because I never see you guys in tasclient.

I definaly play... mostly between 8 and 12 in teh evening +0 GMT. Or if I get a free saturday, I'll be on all day.

I guess I could also split the clan into two time zones, normal clans would recurit by whos online when there on, but this ones open to people that may not be on at he same times. However there will always be some sort of crossover period I would have thought.

Welll... maybe I'd let a few people in as honery members.... If liek they help out in some way (like for instance, My PHP SQL sux.... If you helped me with that I'd make you an honery member for sevises to teh clan)

on an off topic note concerning php...

I offered help to fileuniverse to help them with their php scripts (Particularly the file size limit), and basically got ignored. Which is fine I don't care, but I also posted a function that changes php.ini settings for jsut one instance, everything the script is run. Not 2 days after I posted that the limit was up to 50 mbs :D I thought that was awfully funny. I dunno if they decided to use the function or actually got someone tp change php.ini for em. Just struck me as funny ;P

I'm a php developer btw at http://myupb.com (I'm known as exo over there) and I will help with smaller stuff. I've got a bit of a full plate but if you need any help I will gladly assist. ;P

Excellent Forboding, Im more of a designer than a coder... I can scrape by normaly but Im mainly a HTML Photoshop sort of guy. Admitadly I should try learning PHP proerly at some point... would be a good qualification to add...

And Genblood... I saved a spot for you anyway. :-) Cause much as some of your maps are questionable, you have so many and some of them are good that I can't not realy let you in. :-) Plus your a nice guy from what i can tell. Its not an eleits groupe in that sense :-)

However, as you have so many maps, I'll leave it to you to add them to the wiki page...

Ill also help with the PHP/mySQL stuff. Things ive done:

Ive also made some other random stuff, like a site for my self and BB Code function, but i have no idea where that is right now. Ive almost finished the WarCows site, so if you want I could make stuff for your clan.
