Relayhosts / "RelayHostManagerList" running (again) on springrts.com server

Post by abma »

The RelayHostManagerList is running since a few days on the springrts.com server. because it wasn't running at all, relay-hosting was broken.

as its now fixed, it just needs a working relayhost-manger. The (only) "RelayBot_M" running is broken, because it uses spring 96.0 for hosting.

to fix relayhost needs to be updated + spring updated on that host, too.

(as this is a springlobby-only feature i posted in lobby clients & server)

a relayhost is now running on the springrts.com server, relayhosts should be in fully working state :)

demos are automaticly deleted after two weeks. I guess it makes sense, to would make sense to not create demo files at all, but that engine setting isn't available yet in the stable release.

Tried again, still get such pm:
<SLrelaySlave1> E2 | Battle is not hosted
** User is now offline.
/edit
updated springlobby to 0.222 and now a room spawned. (not sure if that mattered)
But I was shown as unsynced in playerlist of SL. (BA and some map that I have.)
When clicking start springlobby gives this error:
"Access denied to script.txt."
spring.exe then starts but does the "connecting..." countdown and:
* SLrelaySlave1 *** Starting game...
* SLrelaySlave1 *** Error: Spring Exited with status 255
* SLrelaySlave1 *** Game ended
/edit 2
Tried some other maps: Some show me as unsynced, others as synced. All normal, unedited maps that work in singleplayer of SL.
("Barren"=synced, "Badlands"=unsynced)
Even with the synced maps it only got as far as "connecting..." countdown.

With SL v0.223 the sync & script.txt errors are gone.
Only did quick test but joining games does still not work:
* SLrelaySlave1 *** Starting game...
--4 seconds later--
* SLrelaySlave1 *** Game ended
Meanwhile spring does the "connecting countdown."

can you please try again?

I've increased InitialNetworkTimeout to 90. The default (30) seems to wait only for ~10 seconds which possible is cause of this.

I tried with XTA and was synced and was able to get ingame. However no commander spawned.
I closed room, tried with BA and now was unsynced, on all maps.
Something seems wrong with maps loading, every map has an extra startposition in top left corner, that should not be there. Also suspicious HDD activity.

the map position thing is fixed in current development version, 0.224 fixed the start pos type selection... so it basicly should work when you ignore the start point in the top left corner.
