Transport "Load Flood"?
We have land flood as an unload method. Do we have a method for loading in the same manner?
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
Uh, helps if ou describe it fully.
You want the aircraft to land, wait for all units to load up (ones that ahve been given a load-onto command, or giving area load and waiting until the transport is full?), then fly off?

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
I did explain it fully...
I want transports to load exactly like they unload when on land flood. In other words, within a certain radius of the transport, all units in the load circle (if they are within range ofc) get instaloaded. The transport doesn't need to land or anything.
This is exactly the way land flood works but in reverse.

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
You want the transporter to also have a tractor beam?
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
Ok, here goes ..
Forb wants the unit to fly to a location, arrive, stop(not land), load all possible units simultaniously, end of order.

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
loading radius set it to negative valuie lower than zero i can hook you up if need to.
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
i mean loadingradius you can check the syntahx or something.

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
You should probably write a gadget for it.
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
loadingradius sets the distance needed to load a target. After that I think he is suggesting your load animation be something like "move blah now;" so all your shit happens virtually instantly.
This would create the illusion of instant.
I think that is where knorke is going.

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
yeah right on the money just quickScoop=1 loads those suckers right up it is make sure your volumes dont stuck, dont want to end it up like baThis would create the illusion of instant.
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
I just did a search for quickScoop in the CPP, H and LUA files. I figured you were joking but don't purposefully put information you know to be incorrect out there when someone may search, read this thread then become confused.
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
bummer are you sure looked good? you know how it goes maybe they removed it or is a new tag now things like that anyway can always try it with a morph gadget ive a replacement in the pipe posted

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
Isn't that what CMD.LOAD_UNITS does if its given mappos+radius?the unit to fly to a location, arrive, stop(not land), load all possible units simultaniously, end of order.
edit: Oh, "insta-loaded". Hmm, I don't think there is a luarules command to instantly force-load a unit into a transport. I guess it would need to be done via the unitscript, with an effective zero load time per unit. Or you'd have to entirely re-implement transport mechanics in lua, which imo is too hacky.
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
what is above post? I was just trying to be helpful I definately remember it like that. Maybe transports are different now, you know things like to break and then we have to cry hotblooded tears to patch it up.
Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
I can see you are going back to being rude. I get that. You don't like when I occasionally post something incorrect from memory but here I thought maybe you went back to sensible nice knorke. Grow up
Forb I might have to write that gadget for you

I was merely trying to be helpful, maybe one tag was wrong, can happen, here you understand perfectly fine what I meant so why do you call it rude now

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
Your posts seemed like you were trolling/fooling around and just making things up by saying stuff you knew you was incorrect. I still can't tell whether you're being serious now or if you're being sarcastic.
PS: FA's banned again so this thread seems to be going nowhere fast.. Leaving it unlocked if someone wants to post a widget or something..

I think you are mocking me for past mistakes as that has been your behavior up until you started posting under this false identity. I'll let it slide if you really are trying to turn over a new leaf.8611 wrote:I was merely trying to be helpful, maybe one tag was wrong, can happen, here you understand perfectly fine what I meant so why do you call it rude now![]()

Re: Transport "Load Flood"?
" instant load" as in instantly spawn unit from the transport?
