Need more lobby moderators

I spent a week trying to get a bot flag to my new autohost, during which I messaged all lobby moderators that were online. Eventually abma handled the issue but it took a week to get it done. Abma was the only moderator that even responded at all, and I messaged all I could see.

In this case it ws not so serious but what if you have something more urgent? I think a week is too long time for getting admin support. Many of the moderators are not really online even if they appear to be. I think we need new ones.

Or is the problem that nobody wants to be one?

atm for me it just looks wrong to write such requests in lobby, there are way to many idlers and offline-messages aren't implemented yet. also maybe others don't know how to set the flag:

to remove:

only moderators are allowed to do so.

i don't think we need more moderators in lobby, these requests are quiet rare. workflow should be improved / something like a shared todo-list is needed (=use forum?!).

and maybe some info how to request this (maybe this thread is a good start, but you should write a proper topic)

Feel free to change topic. Yes, lobby is wrong forum but I also messaged all moderators.

What if there is something more serious, like my account is hacked? Like I said this request was no serious issue but the problem of getting in touch with moderators is.

TBH if your account got hacked so what? What would be urgent or pressing about it? on the forum we can see your IP if someone hacked your lobby account, you want to tell me you have 0 smurfs?

Credentials compromised is always serious. Why would it not be the case even here?

LOL only as serious as what damage can be done. At the worst someone is playing as you. they cannot delete posts, they cannot disable your account just end up playing as you. So maybe trolling. In a small community like this, it would be easily dealt with by saying to whatever 5 people he played with, oh my account got hacked..

If we move all account pws to bcrypt, that wouldn't matter.
At least theoretically it wouldn't. Someone could still add a print(username, password) or record it to a file, but it depends how much you are willing the *few* people that do have access (which is like 3-4).

How is that relevant for the whole population of users using this site? People have different password management systems and all don't do it your way.

Anyway it was just an example I thought of and is besides the point. The point is whether or not you need to be able to be in touch with moderators. It may be that you do not but then develop your argument.

IMO you have

• a request that can be dealt with by a team
• the process should be documented
• in case of significant changes/cleanups a system should be able to contact all requesters of the same category (by email)
• there are more types of requests for other teams
