my dream is dune spring mod... and i want that mod so much i have even started modelling. i started using SketchUp cause i saw that even a monkey can do good job without learning all the hard interfaces that all other programs have.

(this is a test where i just tested can i model... i know i will improve from here)

the treads are under those "armors" and its made for sandy conditions so it needs "huge" tracks... ill shut up now cause i know that the track are damn ugleeh
You could save faces using a smaller face count on the round back of the cabin and the gun mounts, also that little projection coming out of the treads on the left and the right is adding 5 faces to each side and it's the kind of detail that could easily be textured on. Lastly make sure you are removing faces you don't need. I have a hunch that you've got some invisable faces within the structure of the tank, and most likely several of the faces on the underside of the tread and tank body can just go away. The only time you see them is if the thing gets thrown flipping into the air, and that is practically never for a tank.
I don't care what others think, as a matter of fact there has been a lot of bashing of people's model's lately, and it needs to stop. It dosen't matter if it's a smoth body super high tech advanced vehicle, plane, ship, hovercraft, robot, infinitry, building, ect... It can be whatever they want.
One thing I will sugest is that the CAD programs out there have a comletely different way of producing 3D models. For example, programs like Inventer, Solidworks, Keycreator, make spline surface, nurbs surface, or some other form of geometry creation. Even Autocad is the same way. The only one that is semi compatible is Inventer, and thats with 3DS MAX. My sugestion is to avoid them for game model making, because they are a pain to convert to usable geometry. Just a little tip you might want to remember.
it is (Harkonnen Devastator) the model still need some fixing... and i hope we get animated textures someday... and a good tutorial spring model/uv mapping
