Having seen the before features and after I'd say the features make it look a lot better.

I like it but i find it a shame that the slopes won't make hovercrafts able to take advantage of the lakes (by looking they seem too high for hovers to climb).

I wish the crystals to be more pointy.

Also the terrain is too round for my taste. I think it will be hard to find buildable area, and even harder to get near the sea, with such a round terrain.

Are the crystal reclaimable? If so do they give E or M?

zwzsg,

I thinking about redoing the crystals again. The crystals
and rocks can be reclaimed. Some of the darker crystals have
metal and energy, but most only have metal. I,m going to have
yellow crystals and green an make them only energy. The
terrain is too high I've cut the height in have for better building
and hover units. Also, the texture color is going to change too.

I plan on working on it this week and hope to have it
complete for next week.

Make some huge sized crystals for variety. Maybe have bits where the terrain is just a jagged crystal coming out of the ground like a seem fo crystal that runs deeper down jutting out ofer one of the pools.

And maybe a shattered crystal lying on the floor here and there next to a big oen as if it's bene struck off.

The small green rocks ned a new color :P

Might want to stick to a straight up Silver + Dark Silver color scheme; the brownish small rocks look out of place (and the green rocks oto, as I mentiioned before).

too many colours spoil the scheme.

Use a colour scheme and stick to it. Blue is your colour of choice dont deviate to yellow ro green

Put up some new screenies from your new map ver :P...

Edit: Okay, just d/led the map and flew through it really quickly.

It's good except for two things (aesthetically anyway)

1) NO YELLOW ROCKs. :( They look terrible and out of place.

2) I know the CorShip texx you're using for the dark crystals, and how its just a shade or two lighter than the "light" crystals, but it looks really muddy/dirty.

3) I meant three, not two :P It doesn't look as cool with the commander the same size as the crystals. Can you double or triple the size?

Bug!

When playing with it multiplayer, it appears to me (and everyone else) as a sort of grey blob with noise in the lobby minimap.

It's normal. There isn't any shading on the lobby minimap. So you see the plain unaltered texture map. The water colour and the shading is all rendered by the engine. It's better that way imo, this way the file is smaller and the ingame shading perfect.

Gen, I like it a lot. It has a lot of character.

My opinion on the crystals... They are fine, a few really big ones here and there would add a lot of character methinks.

Other than nitpicky stuff, It looks great!

Just a little tip: Be carefull when making the detailtex so that it is seamless in transition from tile to tile. In the pics you have a slight whitish-grey line around each tile.

For some reason, the textures for the feature are horribly corrupted playing online (usuallyw ith SW SPring)

This map has far too much metal...atleast increase the radius a bit. The features are useless, if you never have want.
