edit: crash log posted below
I'm trying to run BA on my laptop. Intel Core Duo 2.53 ghz, 4 gig ram, intel onboard graphics. Win 7 64 home premium.
I updated to newest drivers last night.
What happens is I can load the game and play fine for anywhere from a minute to 5 minutes. Then the Win 7 screen pops up that says Spring has crashed and needs to close.
Clicking on the "more info" thing it says
Fault Module: ntdll.dll
and a bunch of other stuff.
Everything loads up fine but it just randomly crashes. I'm using 0.95 engine and not sure which version of BA.
Things I've tried: Updated drivers. Tried different AIs (thought it might be a bug there). Tried 2 different maps. Tried booting it in Win XP mode, wouldn't even load.
Any thoughts without a full crash log? Thanks!
edit: Well I'm a dumbass, I looked at the Troubleshooting FAQ first and yet missed this "Try disabling graphics effects or lowering graphics settings in Spring settings" I'll give that a shot when I get home as well.

4gigs of ram win7...
Spring May be maxing out what little ram you have free as I seem to believe there' was a men leak bug but that usually results in an acess violation error

Hmmm. I'll have to load it on my desktop and see if it makes a difference. It only has 4 gigs of ram, but it has a video card as well. Maybe that'll help.
I'll also try lowering the graphics to see if that makes a difference.
I'm wishing I was at home messing with it.

4Gb RAM on win7 should be fine.
Could you please search your hard drive for a file called infolog.txt, put it onto pastebin.com and give us a link to it :)

Here is the crashlog. I lowered the quality and I don't think it has anything to do with graphics as its running fine. It just bombs out.

There is it.
That's a pretty slick little site pastebin has going on.

There are definately some gfx issues there, related to not having a gfx card, although no guarantee they are the only thing wrong. For example:
Also, are you sure that you copied all of the infolog.txt file? The end seems to be missing (but this might be related to the crash).
Could you try running spring in safe mode (run a command prompt, navigate to /spring and call "spring.exe --safemode") and see if the problem still occurs?Infolog wrote: [f=0000000] Video RAM: unknown

Yeah, I thought it was weird too it cut off, but that was the whole thing.
I will give it a shot in safemode at some point. It sucks because it runs flawlessly until it just craps out. lol
I'll also try it on my desktop which has a gfx card. Its an older one, but I think it has at least 512mb of memory so maybe that'll help.
Anyway, thanks for the ideas and I'll double check the next infolog after it crashes to see if anything new pops up.
Merry Christmas to all!
