Putting this out here to see what interest there is

Would there be any interest in having the ability to give people small blogs they can post updates and news on?

I can hook up some code to cross post to a forum thread automatically, and should anybody decide they want a more established site they can export their content without loosing anything, and everything automatically shown on the springinfo frontend and springrts news automagically?

If there's interest I can build the necessary stuff over christmas

You post in the microblog and it posts in your thread.

The benefit of this is:

• I could hook it up to a twitter account for you
• I could also hook it up to a Facebook fan page
• Same with tumblr
• It would automatically appear in the SpringInfo news listings and on the springrts.com community frontpage
• You'd have a piece of real estate on the web to customise a little and brand yourself rather than the generalised Spring Info site
• You can set up Google+ Authorship for search listings
• Set up your own Google Analytics to see traffic
• It would generate a selection of resized versions of your uploaded images in addition to the original
• and a lot of other nifty stuff

At any point you could export all your data and move it to a full blown website of your own creation using standard tools
