Still don't know how to install spring under OSX 10.8

Post by halida »

I download spring the program, and can open it, but don't know how to load game and map;
Then I'm using weblobby, it cannot download game or map or engine.
So is there a tutorial for this?
Thanks.

Weblobby is a bit unstable and automatic download doesn't work (at least for me). You need to manually download game modes (for instance, Balanced Annihilation), game maps and put them in corresponding folders at spring home folder. You could use weblobby for getting correct URLs from where you can download required resources manually.

Spring home folder is located at "/Users/YOURUSERNAME/.spring" (it is hidden in Finder by default).

If you start the game and it is crashed before battlefield appeared, you should edit settings and update property LoadingMT=0

The other thing to try is Nota Lobby.

It is the best looking lobby by far and the newest version has full features for Mac OS it will download all the games maps and engines for you if you dont want to go to the trouble of manually installing every thing.

Install the whole nota package then it will install any other games you want to join in multiplayer lobby.

NOTA Lobby is in violation of Spring's license. Links to download it are not permitted. More information here.
