Hi,
1) for some reason i install 94.1
ending by: sudo make install
2) it was slow I wanted to get ride of it and reinstall 94.1 from the PPA
3) since it was still pointing toward older spring, I erase the spring binry at the location is was pointing to
4) to be sure all was ok, i disinstall and reinstall spring from ppa
5) now here come my problems: game crash on spads5 each time I win
I cannot run some replay

I end with this
http://pastebin.com/hXYkAwds
while the 2 are 91.4
And spring looks kinda slow with respect to this morning and yesterday.
My true question is : should I have (and how could I have) make a clean uninstall from my compiled binary ?
Let's rephrase this: Is there some king of "make uninstall" I forgot to go and that is fuckign up all my spring config ?

Re: how to desintall spring
remove the installed package, and then do a
from where you compiled your spring
then install it with a package again and avoid installing with `make install` globally in the future (pass options to CMAKE to configure it for local installs)
Code: Select all
args rm < install_manifest.txt
then install it with a package again and avoid installing with `make install` globally in the future (pass options to CMAKE to configure it for local installs)

Re: how to desintall spring
Why not use the static build and avoid the issue altogether?
Also, weblobby works amazingly well on linux.

Re: how to desintall spring
hmm, looks a bit like 94.1 can't play 94.0 demos?!
Re: how to desintall spring
Ah no, it is caused by the creg issue in 94.x.
You cannot open the replay of a dedi server nor exchange 32bit/64bit ones.
