If I were to use Hamachi to connect to my friends when we play, would we need to set any specific settings in the springlobby before we start?
I need to use Hamachi because I just can't connect to them otherwise. My dad has so many security things and junk and he probably couldn't be convinced to mess with it.
My friend and I also both have our ports forwarded and my general computer firewalls are off.
Thank you.

u need to host ur own lobby then
if u dont want to join public servers

Re: Hamachi?
I don't see a single reason why one would use hamachi to play Spring.
But if for whatever reason you really need to, you should host your own lobby server on "LAN", check this: http://springrts.com/wiki/Spring_on_a_LAN.

Re: Hamachi?
Ask your dad to forward the port son the router.
Re: Hamachi?
Just use existing hosts - your friends will be able to connect there.
You have those options:
* use zero-k lobby, if you host there it always spawns an external autohost
* enable "relay host" in your lobby
* send message !spawn mod=wahtever you want to play, title=name of your game, password=your password to any springie, it will create autohost for you

That's what we are trying to do, since there aren't any public Robot Defense servers. And I doubt you can change all the settings to whatever you want in public servers.muckl wrote:u need to host ur own lobby then

We tried LAN and it didn't work, we might have done something wrong, might try again.gajop wrote:I don't see a single reason why one would use hamachi to play Spring.

1. Unless there's a way to host Robot Defense 2.19.3 with the Zero-K lobby and/or make a server with Zero-K then mess with it on the SpringLobby, then can't.Licho wrote:Just use existing hosts - your friends will be able to connect there.

2. We've tried him using relay host and it didn't work.
3. I have no idea how or where to put that in. If someone can tell me what exactly to put in and where, I can try that. The game is "Robot Defense 2.19.3 (Tech Annihilation 2.19.2)", whatever for the name and pass.
