The sand is really cool but it's heightmap based iirc, which makes (used to make?) big obvious squares show up wherever any buildings are. It may be better to just bake the sand texture to prevent that.
I think the contrast here is just great. It's strong, but it fits for the style the map has, and for the style that BAR has -- a bit cartoonistic.
My minus goes to the sand part, which looks odd to me now. I think that you dont need double dune texture there (prebaked sand dunes are enough), I would go just with a regular sand detailtexture.
Anyway keep up the good job!
May I request next one: Small Supreme Battlefield (It's easy one).
yeah, ill get rid of the heightmap dunes, as I dont like them much either, ill tone them down heavily.
Also, SSB is very hard, because the heightmap and texture are both very ugly and need a lot of work.
If there's no objections, I've actually already started work on a SSB remake.
And the map looks awesome, I agree with the contrast fitting in with BAR and not only that but also the rest of your maps. It's nice to see consistent maps.
side-note: do you plan on releasing a map-pack with your maps for BAR when its ready for release, because a nice consistent set of good looking maps right out the box would be awesome.
AF, did you load up the map? Does it only happen when zoomed in? Because I think there is a bug, and the luminosity depends on the camera X axis position.
Hehe, the original didnt have grass, and this map doesnt have a custom grass shading map or a custom grass blade texture. A good example of fine grass is in Moor.
