Spring Hangs, graphics card issue most likely

Post by Vulcan10 »

Problem: When playing online only (specific server was AceServeurVI) on any map, BA hangs permanently when I try to zoom in and out quickly. This is on lowest graphics with every single thing turned off, water to basic, shadows disabled, vsync disabled, everything. I have also tried putting to medium graphics, low graphics, and using multithreaded but none of this works. My spring lobby is the latest version, and so is my BA as far as I know ( I downloaded what the balancedannihilation.org said was the latest version). I’ve looked on the forums under intel graphics help, and basically it hasn’t helped. Also the info log is attached. And it says its a graphics issue. I play other games too, so I'm not sure how well messing with my graphics driver would work for me. Advice? I appreciate the help, as I would really like to play this game and have enjoyed it offline.
OTHER INFO JUST IN CASE:
Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
Sony VAIO with Intel Core i3 330M (Arrandale) 2.13 GHz
4.00 GB RAM with 3.67 usable, 64bit OS
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD (Core i3) driver version 8.15.10.2040 with max graphics memory of 1751 MB

Is probably the issue, Spring does not play well on intel. Have you tried /advmapshading 0?

/advmapshading 0 is something to type into chat while ingame.
it can not be set in springsettings.exe.
if you want it to be permanent you can also start spring.exe, click "edit settings" and it is the third option from top.
