30 minute video map creation in blender

I just wanted to show some features.. its really quick and dirty. took me about 30 minutes from start to finish. final product looks like ass, but its about how it was done. I didn't want to spend any time on making it pretty.

also my screen capture software dies during so its in two parts..

if you want to skip to the "cool" part its vid 1 at 8:45 or so, basically terrain sclupting with materials updating as you go.

and note that the materials I've made here are really the most basic evar..

I kinda deleted the blend since it was just a throwaway test.

I have linked in my other thread a similar blend. On my phone so not easy to type

I use these settings to build heightmaps with blender, I m not advanced enough to build texturemap with blender.

Just rename heightmap.gz to heightmap.blend since forum is not allowing .blend extentison.
