Emotes not working (Spring.MarkerAddLine() broken?)

I tried using the Emotes widget and it doesn't seem to work.
I checked all the stages and it seems that the AddLine function doesn't seem to do anything.
Any ideas?

Those wigets spam AddLine calls which results in many packets. You might hit a packet limit that way. Check our infolog for warnings.

There is no packet loss when I try using it and making a test widget that draws a single line doesn't work either.
