Windows XP SP3, AMD/ATI system, All Latest Drivers.
Just reinstalled XP, I've got all of my dependencies, drivers, and other junk done.
I do not (Usually) install anything to c:\ (or store files there, for that matter, because of my reinstall sched)
MY OLD PORTABLE INSTALLATION OF SPRING .85 WORKS FINE!
I Have tried spring installed as portable to f:\spring88 (note: my old install is in f:\spring85, and still works fine)
I have tried spring installed normally to f:\spring88
I have tried spring installed portable to c:\spring88
I Have tried spring installed normally to c:\spring
I Have tried spring installed normally to c:\Program Files\Spring
I Have downloaded both the normal installer, and the portable 7z SEVERAL TIMES, the files are intact.
Here is my issue:
1. I run springlobby, it says it can't detect an installed spring version, so online play is disabled (and gives me the spring88 url)
2. Springsettings.exe gives the error "Error Could not access your settings"
3. After clicking "ok" of the first error message, then clicking "Use this path" (the path is correct) I get the error:
"Springsettings is unable to load your unitsync library.
You might want to take another look
Your spring version has to be" and ends there.
4. RAPID-gui.exe simply gets stuck at "loading"
5. Rapid.exe, run through command line, gives an error about accessing unitsync as well. (I cant be bothered to get back to it)
6. Spring.exe and spring-multithreaded.exe both crash upon starting,
"Application error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application."
- There is no infolog
Again, My old portable installation of spring Version 85 runs fine on this installation of my operating system, it seems that spring version 88 does not.
Please helps!!!1!!1!!1!!!!!1!!1111!!!!!
