I have a major problem with the Spring engine at the moment. After launching the SpringLobby and loading up XTA, as soon as I hit the "Start" button my laptop screen goes black. No sound, no whirring, no fancy lights or bells and whistles pop up; the screen just goes black.
What's worse is that the computer loses total responsiveness; I cannot alt-tab or ctrl-alt-del or alt-f4 out of the game. The only real way to get out of the black screen is a total restart.
It seems that the game does not even load at all; my infolog.txt file is completely blank, probably meaning that the crash happens before Spring has a chance to record anything.
I've tried lowering the graphics settings to ultra-low (no shadows, basic water, no AA, etc.), made sure that my NVidia card is running Spring instead of the Intel integrated graphics card, updated the driver to the latest release, and still it does not work.
Is there any way I can fix this crash?
*I have been trying to load XTA 9.71 with the map DeltaSiegeDry using one AI loaded with AII (by Submarine).*

Thanks so much for reading my post! I'm really excited to play Spring, so long as I can get it running. It's a bit of a bummer that such a big problem occurs before I even get to play the game, but hey, c'est la vie. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(P.S. I've had a couple problems regarding OpenGL and my nVidia card in the past; maybe that could be partly or all of the problem?)
