Well, I have noticed in spring that if you tell units to force fire at a blank spot on a ground (ie, where an enemy structure is) the units will fire at it IF there are no other enemy units around.
If there are enemy units around, and within range of the unit, then they will ignore the force fire order and attack the unit first, then go to the next unit, etc etc, and the force fire order will be continued if there is no more attacking force (assuming my units lived). This applies to both mobile and stationary units. I hate it when my merls won't force fire a fusion thats in range, they rather try to hit a moving peewee that I never ordered it to attack. Same goes for all def. structures: bb's, annis, etc. I like them to force fire on something I know thats there, not ignore my order and do something else. But when an enemy force comes, they can barely attack themselves. ie. sometimes an annihilator will just sway the head back and forth and not shoot.
I request that force fire should be the number 1 priority when firing on units. The units should not ignore the order its given.
PS: This applies to enemy units that can and can't be seen on radar.
Force Firing low on priority list?

that's weird. I was overrunning someone's base once on Hell's Pass. I knew the exact location of a cloaked fusion reactor and made my Reapers force-fire on it. Even though this was towards the middle of the enemy's base and there were many targets around, the Reapers fired on the cloaked fusion until it blew up and I gave them new orders.
Yar, force firing has always worked as excpected for me. Unless the target is unable to be fired at (behind a hill, etc)FizWizz wrote:that's weird.
