Hi everyone, I've been trying to play spring, because I was a fan of TA, but when spring starts up, the maps have no textures, there is only black. I've tried a few different games, BA, Zero-k and Spring:1944, but they all do the same thing.
I'm trying to play on my Acer notebook. The specs are:
Processor: Intel Core i3-380M @ 2.53 gHz x 4
RAM: 4 gB DDR3
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics, with a min-max memory of
128-1754 mB.
Any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks!

Hi, I tried doing the things in the FAQ, but none of them worked. I have the settings on quite low, but the textures for the map are still black.

Re: Textures on any Spring Game display Black
i guess you have one of these notebooks with combined Intel & NV GFX?[f=0000000] GL version: 2.1.0 - Build 8.15.10.2372
[f=0000000] GL vendor: Intel
[f=0000000] GL renderer: Intel(R) HD Graphics
[f=0000000] GLSL version: 1.20 - Intel Build 8.15.10.2372
you have to configure your system so spring will only use the NV card, cause it currently runs on the Intel card, which is way too bad to run spring.

here somebody posted a screenshot how to do it:you have to configure your system so spring will only use the NV card

Re: Textures on any Spring Game display Black
I don't think my laptop has an nVidia card, it only shows the Intel one in device manager. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 7739-6837 if it helps.
Thanks for the Help!

thats bad man, real bad!

try using different drivers for your GFX, but i think chances are low for you to get anywhere, when you tried everything from the FAQ that seems slightly related (most GFX stuff)
