1st install on new computer no luck with spring 84 or 83 :(

It seems it keeps crashing during loading. Changing the map, mod or ai doesnt seem to affect crashing. Adjusting resolutions, shadows, water also does not change the results.

That seems to be missing a few lines, is it also missing in infolog.txt?

i guess this can be worked around/fixed by having LoadingMT=0 in your spring settings. this disables using (a) separate thread(s) while loading up spring, so at worst, you get in-game a little later.
it being a threading related issue could also explain why log is truncated in the middle of a record.

it appears that LoadingMT = 0 does not help. still crash in similar spot and it cuts off the infolog. I even tried running in different compatability modes with no luck.

I don't know if this help but .83 seems to do the same thing for me. So far the only spring I can get to run are pre .83 versions.

I just wanted to update. I talked to hoijui about the issue. It seems my gpu was not running spring and was forcing my intel chipset to try and run it. Once I told nvidia that it needed to run spring everything works. :D :D :D
