Discuss the source code and development of Spring Engine in general from a technical point of view. Patches go here too.

Ok, need a serious answer.

Seems like blender is going to be forced on us. if it is I need to know so I can move to using that terrible app. It will cost me a lot of time and grind my work to a halt so I would rather do it up front. There is no advantage otherwise to using blender UNLESS you guys are forcing it on us for features. So what's the deal?

There is zero evidence of this. The only need for blender is the s3o conversion script. You already have source model files, so this conversion is unneccessary, and your models are already working in s3o form so there is no need to convert anyway unless you want to switch to the Obj or ASSIMP model code.

Thus no Blender involvement is necessary or required.
