Why do I auto-win in single player?

Hi:

I know I'm doing something really stupid, but I can't figure out what it is. In many different mods of this game, I'll start by going into the lobby, choosing the mod, then a map, then I pick 1-3 bots. When I click "Start," the game loads, then all of a sudden the game ends and I get a "You won the game!" message.

It happens in most ways that I configure it, but for example, it most recently happened when I used NOTA v1.66, with the Castles.smf map (though I seem to get the same results if I use different maps), and I used the AAI 0.9 bots.

I had the same trouble when I tried to load the Kernel Panic mod, even with Kernel Panic-specific maps (not sure if there are any KP bots).

It almost sounds like there's a global setting that I'm not checking off properly. I think I got it to work once where I turned off the "kill the commanders" win condition, but still... not sure that's the issue.

There are KP bots, they are "Kernel Panic AI", and "Fair KPAI", they are inside the KP mod so no need to install anything else.

Have you made sure you and the AIs have different ID and are on different Ally Teams?

This also happens if the AI crashes. Read infolog.txt to see if that is the case. Try different AIs... in BA KAIK and E323 should work. Most AIs only work in certain mods.

the game has a autodetection for superior players.. its that self-sure way the press the start button. You are just to good..




srsly, its the ai or the gamesettings. Try NullAI, this Ai does absolutly nothing, but it stays ingame, so you have to kill the com.

That way you will at least find out, if you startsettings are all right.
