spring does not recognize game files

as in the topic:
.sdz files are in wright path (..\spring\games\)
spring lobby can not see them -> game list is empty
reloading maps/mods does not work
the same happens when trying open it by basic
spring.exe

any suggestions?

If you're on windows and using Internet Explorer, make sure the sdz have not been renamed to .zip

Some files from several years ago can no longer be read.
The stuff on http://springrts.com/wiki/Games works.
