why was the previous thread locked??
There was some ok advice in there, have some basic questions for those of you with success. Where do you meet them first... strange enough I'm 27 and in college, and some guys are hooking up apparently but it seems strange to me to hit on them as they are walking down the hallway or whatever (keggers happen about once every two months). I can bench over 300 lbs and have a pretty great physique
where am I going wrong... I'm going to throw out dating sites, because my feeling is they went to junk a number of years ago. I met one chick from there and we went to a movie and her smoker teeth disgusted me. Wait till beach season maybe? how do you normally approach women :) how fast do you move. thanks
also a list of bannable words would be nice so we can all play the 12 yr old petting game.

Fortunately for you completely legitimate users us Moderators use our own judgment when determining what posts are spam and when a user is only posting to the forum in an attempt to trick people into visiting the links they post.
We have also started to notice patterns of "sleeper agents" who are posting innocuous things in their first posts and then later returning with links to spam.

That said... given that this is your first post and it is completely unrelated to anything about Spring I'm already suspicious... there are marketing companies out there paying users to establish relationships on forums and then come on later with links to websites that seem legitimate and then WHAM! they post links to discount pharmaceuticals sites and everyone trusts them based on their former activities...
I had like a six post exchange with a bot who seemed insistent on defending it's right to post spam... it was frightening and I am worried that the computers are going to start taking over soon.

certainly a strange thread to find on spring forum; but then again, we're all "nerds" here, and its probably not a bad place to look for advice about being shy/having trouble chatting up girls
keggers really are an awful place to meet ladies; sure, drunkenness is helpful but bottom line, if you hook up with a girl or even get her number, it was still in the midst of a drunken haze; your/her opinion on the matter might change once you've sobered up
dating sites are fairly bust; there's like a 1% chance of actually communicating with a girl who isn't a skank or has some other strange problem. out of lurking those for basically all of college, i can honestly say that any of the legit girls i met i became friends with, while having my mind mucked with a little bit or merely wasting time with the rest. so yeah; it can work, but its a bit of a waste of time
assuming you aren't missing something key here (stinking of boiled onions, dirty shoes, rapper voice) then you don't really have much to worry about in terms of "am i good enough to get a GF" because there will always be many people in a worse position than you
so then i guess i'd break it down a bit...
- it IS strange to just wander up to a girl and start hitting on her. the best thing to do is wait for an opening (even to say thank-you for holding a door or something like that) or just to be social with everyone, not just the girls... that way, when you DO chat up a girl and she goes to ask her friends about you, they might have a good impression.
- don't worry too much about "why is this not working". it seems to be a rule of the universe that the less you try for something like this that the more likely it will be to happen. don't try too hard or over-analyze.
- if you fail, lose her number, erase her from your brain. not everything is meant to be, and if you dwell on past failures, you'll never move ahead.
how fast to move? however fast you like really. if you get a girls number, don't call her for a few days. after a first date, don't call for a few days. theres a fine line between desperation and disinterest that you must wobble along, and the best thing to do is just try and read the situation

Wait what? Did some of you seriously think he was a bot? His first line in this topic is "why was the previous thread locked??". There was a previous thread about womenz, I can't understand why it was locked either. A bot doesn't have that sort of intelligence

I didn't lock it but I believe the reason it was locked was that it had run it's course and the only reason it came back up was due to a bot rezzing it... so it wasn't really anyone adding to the original discussion.Jazcash wrote:Wait what?
