There are only few people among me, who actually uses it correctly.
So, i suggest it would be hidden as its usage is becoming more or less like the Signature (which is disabled too, gladly).
I have been thinking to say this out loud for a long time by now, but the last straw was when i noticed Knorke had put an URL in it to advertise some of his stuff. Also that URL breaks the layout in IE8.
The only reason i have put my location there, is to show that my mother tongue isnt English, so people can maybe understand to read my messages with less strict way, although, that has never worked.
So, all in all, just remove the tag, nobody uses it, its totally useless & annoying.

When youre onto it, could you format the Joined date to not have hours/minutes/seconds in it too? (it was like that before forum update few years ago...)
Can we hide the Location tag, please?

Re: Can we hide the Location tag, please?

"breaks IE layout"
they could use html/css to lock how wide it can be.
"location becoming something else"
cool they should just not call it location. Software evolves based on the end user which is the rest of us.
Re: Can we hide the Location tag, please?
Breaks in Chrome too. Just rename it to "Motto" or w/e. Oh and yeah, remove time on Join Date.

Re: Can we hide the Location tag, please?
Chrome layout is widened too. In the mean time, may I suggest a URL shortener?
Re: Can we hide the Location tag, please?
i dont like url shorteners since it makes it hard to just copy the url (if you mean those that make ... in it), although i believe we have such system here already :/Pxtl wrote:In the mean time, may I suggest a URL shortener?
Re: Can we hide the Location tag, please?
No, URL shorteners are websites like 3.ly or bit.ly that just provide you with a short-url redirect.
Re: Can we hide the Location tag, please?
now shortend/obscured would be really annoying.
not enough rickroll yet?
not enough rickroll yet?
Re: Can we hide the Location tag, please?
lol thats even worser since every link would break if some website decides to go down or delete their links, also it wouldnt tell a shit about the link either, as knorke said.Pxtl wrote:No, URL shorteners are websites like 3.ly or bit.ly that just provide you with a short-url redirect.
