Reporting this on behalf of a clanmate:

The sharescreen (when you press 'H') for the default GUI only supports a very limited number of players and has no scrollbar so sharing to players lower down in the list is impossible as they are not visible.

I suppose most people don't have this issue as they use a custom GUI with a different method of sharing units and resources.

It would be nice to see some love for the default GUI sometime.

Get Behe to include Chili in BA and I am sure there will be someone to implement nice share menu and end-game stats windows.

Implementing lua based UI windows from scratch is quite a pain.

The default ones aren't lua.

My GUI has looked like this for probably about two years now with only a few changes being made here and there. It's clean and intrusiveness and best of all, it's stable and doesn't randomly break or throw up errors.

It's not just IceUI, as you can see, I'm using Beh's Resource Bars and FPS/Clock along with AdvPlayer list and that IdleUnits widget. I've changed widgets, preferences, the raw code and swapped widgets and over the years, it's just become more refined to suit me. That's what's important, choice and user customisation. I love my UI to bits because I've made it my own, things like this shouldn't be forced upon players, they should just be given a clear display of what choices they have.

100% wrong. Widgets are designed for specific games, not for all games on the Spring engine. Using a widget in a game that wasn't designed for it can conflict with other widgets and break the gameplay.

IceUI was designed for *A mods and there's a reason it's prevented from being loaded in ZK and other mods.

A choice should be given where a choice is appropriate. Personally, I use IceUI with any game I can where the resource system is the same and the like, but that's just cause I'm fussy.

I was speaking in the context of BA though to be honest. Users have a choice of the default UI, RedUI, IceUI and perhaps one or two others.

And not all widgets are designed for specific games ;)

Don't generalize that. Some widgets are designed for specific games, not all.

do you need me to comment the gundam chilli widgets so you can grab the code blocks you need to setup your ice?
