So, soon... I have big plans for the next Spring version, I think many people will enjoy it.

If you need help with AA let me know...

It saddens me again that none of my units are included but those crappy units that are included into TAUIP ARE included, I made a better light gunship than that banshee...

I have 200+ OTA units and still get no recognition for it...

SWTA and AA get all the attention, again WD or even TJT and such never get attention, I don't think TA:FF got much attention in the mags...sounds like they are biased towards mods on major TA sites...

Well, enough of my rant...it's your own decision, I just don't like it that again the TA community ignores me...

GZ, we all love you. I'm not just saying this either, but I thought TA:FF was the best TC (not based on OTA) for OTA, and WD was #2. Unfortunately I know very little about your OTA stuff, sorry. I prefer WD games over XTA for Spring, and I can't wait until TA:FF progresses as far as WD has. I still like UH best though, nothing personal =P.

Well thank you for your kindness.

I just have my days of frustration when I see most of my older stuff goes ignored in favor for old classic stuff that IMO is very unimaginative and not very inovative.

I made so many units that fit niches, from SAM busting aircraft to Shotgun Style heavy riot units.

All mods just come off as another variant of UH or Switech's bugfix with some custom (often the same) units.

alot of my old stuff can be found here:

Some date back all the way to 1998 till 2001 so be warned. ;)

Those are very nice looking units - particularly since they look to be in TA-style, but don't blend in with the TA units leaving you wondering which is which. Still, I stick to Caydr's mod just because I love the layout and balance of it. While some of the units are uglier in AA, they all look good enough to fit in nicely with the standard spread. I think it's mostly stuff ripped from MADTA. There are a few units that do stand out as kinda fugly or just plain don't fit in, but mostly it all fits in well.

edit: on closer examination, I am noticing one thing.... maybe they would've been better received if you'd actually, y'know, named them. I can't get back to the site now, but they all seem to be named "A###" and suchlike.

Good question. Seaching for creator GZ, ground_zero, or ground_zero yelds no result, but with http://www.unituniverse.com/?p=grp&v=TA-Designers there's all those units with GZ in their names.

I always preferred FF to DS-style space mods as well, mainly due to pathfinding (of all the units they could have chose for DS, they chose HOVERCRAFT, which have the absolute worst pathfinding in OTA...), more logical build trees, and of course it's still Arm/Core... just in space.

TJT never really struck me as a fun race. That wasn't due to TAD involvement, of course, it just didn't really have anything that particularly made it worth playing in my eyes. I think my favorite third party race was the Argon, it's too bad they never completely finished it and removed all the bugs.

And I still say there are too many planes in WD. :P

So there's just hundreds and hundreds of fully animated OTA units sitting around? I assume most of those would work for Spring with some tweaks. Hmmm...

Oh, btw, GZ, You are pure awesome in a box and everyone loves you. You're probably indirectly responsible for every spring mod worth playing right now, and for that you get pure unmidigated <3s!
