Hello,
I've installed versions of Spring with every linux distribution I've ever had on my computer, and every time (with Ubuntu 7.04&9.10, Fedora 13, Linux Mint 9&10) I get the same problem. Most mods work without a problem (though 1944 textures don't seem to be working). On every single of those linux distributions I got a white map (with blue for water).
I've tried changing the settings over and over, reinstalled several times but nothing seems to help. I've searched the web but only found posts about people having no textures at all or a white/black screen.
Spring is - as far as I know - the only game I've ever had this problem with.
Glest, Warzone 2100, 0AD, Boson... all seem to work fine (although Warzone does crash sometimes, but that's off-topic).
Spring has also crashed once when I had just build a mine, but that's another problem entirely (i guess), so that'll have to be solved another time. The textures are somewhat more important to me.
I hope someone can help me out.
Thx for having read this.

Thanks,
I had already tried this on my Fedora 13 (where it didn't work), but on Linux mint 9 it has solved the problem! Yay, finally i can play spring!
