I need to get some kind of way to link the installers to the spring engine downloads page. that way people looking at hte engine can grab a game installer and test the game to get a feel of what spring can do.

so can i post my 4 work in progress mods, i can do so,

but what is it again??? Ba, XTA copy rigth issues????

i can associate it with the engine somehow.

i Sugest the folowing, Contact beta, ZK works fine, gundam, Evo.
I may post a FF instaler (its simple but it works).
im talking about instalers...............................

You want projects associated with it, or just instalers??? :!:

Evo is already on indiedb. Most of the other projects are not though.

Unit names could be safely ignored :) I believe that Zeus isn't trademarked :)

Nah, if ZK had to give up on all the content that was originally planed as a TA unit remake, there would be pretty much no content left. And probably people who aren't familiar with CA/XTA/SA probably won't even associate them as closely with TA anyway. (Your morty is still around btw, it just shoots slowbeams now instead of plasma. :D)

Actually though Zeus is alright, it is more obvious TA-isms like "rocko" I want to get rid of.

No more IP infringing than Gundam RTS or Imperial Winter though, seeing as the models are completely new and only "inspired" by units in another game.

With ZK I think we are waiting for pollish things like SP missions and lobby. The art stuff is all as free as the art in many game remakes in that it is based on something but made from scratch.

The names are not particularly inspired. But I see your point and there are some units with less generic names that could be renamed.

I think this arguement totally overlooks the fact that indiedb is for indie games, not TA mods running under spring.

As for Moddb and *A, go make your profiles anyway, there's already an AA from what I can remember, and probably an ancient XTA, aswell as various OTA mods, heck AA got onto sourceforge

Advertise, make profiles, do pretty videos and shiny banners, make cups/mugs, tshirts, just dont tarr non*A and the engine itself with the toxic Atari IP taint that has half the opensource gaming community treating us like the plague already.

This means also i cant get my KKnD remake mod no in there -_-
but maybe March to Doom (based on WTO) but this make take some months or years not sure to replace all the 3do stuff and texture with s3o

according names, u can always do things like in minecraft Ghast = Ghost. also 90% of *TA names are some regulars objects and animals like wombat <3 and hammer so i dunno whats the problem
