When i run TA Spring, i get a black background with white text. I selected each script and tested each of the scripts. When the game starts, it tells me it cannot find files like sounds.something. I can see the rendering of the level i chose. And i have the necessary requirements. And yes, i have original TA installed in C:\CAVEDOG\TOTALA. And TA Spring is installed in Program Files\TA Spring. Here's an example of the error it gives me, when in comander script:
No such cursor: cursornormal
No such cursor: cursormove
No such cursor: cursordefend
No such cursor: cursorattack
No such cursor: cursorattack
No such cursor: cursorpatrol

No such cursor: cursorrevive

sounds like he's missing some of the basic stuff from the full installer... like he got the updating installer or something...
get the:
Regular installer
39.2mb, added 2005-09-24
install it to a folder without anything else in it... you are required to "own" orriginal TA... not acctually have it installed

I DID BUY THE ORIGINAL VERSION DAMMIT!!!! Wait, does that mean i have to put my TA cd in the cd drive? 'Cause it's not in the CD drive...it might be the error. And oh, i have downloaded the full installer. The file i think spring didn't find was sounds.sfz.SinbadEV wrote:sounds like he's missing some of the basic stuff from the full installer... like he got the updating installer or something...

Oh, i didn't install XTA, i didn't want to have those things it adds to the game.Fnordia wrote:You don't technically need TA installed or on a CD at all, it is more of a moral/legal question.
Also, if you did install it with XTA you could perhaps show me a directory listing, it could be possible that the installer fails in some way.
