Post by PtaQ »

my game lagz sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. One game its ok, the another its laggy as hell. Looking on the task manager I found that usage of my network speed is like 2-3%. Imma not using torrents or dlling porn, so what can be the cause?

when spring lags, it is usually the CPU, not network.

what smoth seems to be trying to say is:

Spring only runs on one CPU so what is the core speed of your CPU?

(there is a mult-threaded version of spring but it's not quite ready for prime time)

my cpu is 4x 2.4 GHz. Anyway, I fixed the bug already by closing some apps.

Spring only uses one core.

Closing apps shouldn't help unless it is some really hardcore app that runs many threads at high priority. Disabling LUA stuff can also give a major increase in performance.
