BA 18 and 19 crash. with spring 0.82.6.1

I can't get BA 18 or 19 to work. 17 works fine.

I would guess it's related to the AI missing a config file for the mod, or something like that...

But it happens in multiplayer games too.

in the future, please attach your infolog.txt as file attachment to the forum post.
it is indeed not AI related. looks like it is sound:

cant upload as html in attachment, cant upload as html.txt, and pastebin said the text triggers the spam filter!

try specifying NoSound=1 in your spring config file, and see if it runs ok. if so, maybe try to get other sound drivers (except you are fine playing without sound ;-) ).

get further with nosound=1 but then I hit "Could not load texture from file bitmaps/greenexplo.tga"

the greenexplo.tga looks fine in the BA719.sd7

Also, the infolog this time is also coming up with:

there's about 20 or so older mods it's saying it failed to scan.
why would it be attempting to scan these anyway?

Edit: new audio drivers did not make any difference, still crashes with nosound=0
also, only crashes with BA, and only 7.18 and 7.19

always post whole infolog as file attachment please.

if it would not scan the mods, how would it know they are too old?

You make no sense.

Why's it trying to scan mods I'm not using? I'm trying to use BA not the other ones.
I know they are old, because they ARE old. why would spring know or care they are old.

Ok, I've got around to sitting down and testing this again,
still don't know what's up with the scanning mods, it doesn't do it every time and probably irrelevant to the problem I'm having now.

The sound issue seems to have disappeared, I was messing around with the number of sounds, when I dropped it I stopped getting the crash, to check I put it back up to the max, but still not getting that crash.

Still getting the problem with not being able to load textures though.
strangely, now I'm getting a different texture than the one before that it's having trouble with.

Both these tests I did using
Spring 0.82.6.0 (0.82.6) with DSD as the map.
BA7.19 - crashes with error:
Content error
Could not load texture from file bitmaps/shard1.tga

BA7.17 - no problems, runs fine.

I can see from the .sd7 that the shard1.tga is the same file, with the same CRC I can open both files in gimp fine.

I've tried running at different resolutions.
I've tried newer gfx drivers.
I've tried lowering the gfx settings right down to low.

I was having the same problem with one of the s44 versions, though that seems to have disappeared now, don't remember which version but they all seem to be running fine.
I'm stumped.

running win7 64bit
CPU is an intel hexicore i7
6gb DDR3
graphics card is a Geforce 768mbGTX460

yes, but like I said, CRC seems fine, also I'm having a problem with both 18 and 19.

Doubt it, if that were the case it wouldn't be able to open the sd7.
also doesn't explain why I don't have a problem with 17, but do with 18 and 19. they're all in the programfiles\spring\mods folder, rather than the \Documents\My Games\Spring\mods (though I did try both locations).

Even tried disabling the AV incase that was causing it to be locked out.

when were the AO ground plates introduced? I started crashing games when they were adopted.

looks like the problem is fixed in spring 0.82.7
any ideas what it could have been though?
