SpringLobby crashes every time I go to the Spring Settings

As the subject says,

Spring crashes every time I try to change the settings. I've done several "mark for complete removal" from synaptic with no luck. Any thoughts? I can post the output of the debug if needed.

You can launch springsettings externally, not just from lobby. I know this isnt a fix, but may help isolate your problem.

SL does not run external springsettings.exe. It uses built-in window which has exactly the same interface as springsettings.exe which is not evident for user.

So it turned out that doing a complete removal doesn't remove the .springrc etc files/directories so doing that manually appears to have resolved the issue.

It looks like the debug output was deleted from tmp when I restarted. If it happens again, will post up here.
