My home comp isnt that much fun to do this on(have to use really bad settings), will get onto work one and make a vid sometime. (not to mention YT fucked up the quality even more than what it was.)

Lots of things to see, if you can see them in this vid.

Blue / South West was RAI
Red / North East was E232

Blue has some major issues the whole time, slow expansion, very little offense, generally seamed to have alot of trouble working out what to do.

E232 expanded quickly but only ever sent groups of 5 units to attack.
Eventually clogging their base with a huge power grid of Tier1 gennys.

Both AI's are not programmed to understand morphing so entire game was played with just tier 1 units. Rocket artillery and gunships proved to be the most used.

Very interesting. Just curious, what prompted you to do this? Did you and oksnoop2 collaborate on this?

Interesting that the flying mechs (I'm guessing you mean these by "gunships") and rocket artillery were heavily used. Flying mechs are expensive, and the rocket artillery is a so-so unit that is in need of work...

Very cool though. We've been needing some CT videos... for whatever reason

Just a friendly tip: if you speed the game up about 5x (/setmaxspeed 5, mash insert key), you get a nice, speedy dot wars, like the kind noruas posts. :wink:

That dotwars was at x6.

My comp cant handle Fraps+x6 Gamespeed, what i have to do is record it at 1, (havent tested 2 or 3) then speed it up in Windows movie maker.

The idea came from playing a game against bots in CT on that map with snoop, a 2v2 comp stomp.

i wanted to see how the AI worked in CT so made a dotwars vid to see who would win of the two currently working AI's.

By gunships i mean rocket planes, although they do build some of the airborne mechs both AI's tend to love having a mixed army. Always taking a little air power.

One odd feature that i find is the AI's more specifically E323 (232 is a typo, typo's everywhere D: ) will make lots of engineers, maybe 5 at a time almost constantly to reclaim your Mexes and lay down its own. although clever the tactic quickly becomes useless once the player wises up to it and just throws down a turret or has a forward line to stop them.

Yeah that is interesting. Because CT doesn't call for large numbers of builders, the standard AIs will probably always struggle with that.

i think the con unit attack is a "feature" of the AI

i mean this in the sense of the AI looks to what would be the most effective form of attack and thats the reclaiming since mexes have a fair ammount of hp.

Either that or its the AI not recognizing the mexes, ill have to experiment with E323 in *A games.

E323AI v3.22.4 features couple of important fixes for CT. AI gameplay will radically change for you ;)
