SD is taking AGES to update

Post by Forboding Angel »

So I commit rev 579. Rapid has it within 5 minutes, but it's been 30 minutes so far and sd doesn't have a freaking clue that it's even there. This happened last night too, and it's effing irritating. Could someone please maek fix?

Nevermind, it's an issue with SD. SD's little updater thing won't show up for an hour or so after a revision is put on rapid.

The temporary fix is to copy sd from spring portable archive and run it. But, it auto update so you have to do it each time.

Epic fail.

I verified that versions.digest is being updated (as you speculated it was not). So I don't know what the problem could be, nothing has changed server side. Anyways, enjoy your vacation.

Last thing that might be related was that I enabled use of IE browser cache in SD's network stack.
If this causes problem, it could be verified by deleting browser cache and hitting reload in SD - if it detects new versions now, problem is caused by IE caching not detecting change in file.

Thanks for the update on this licho. It's caused me a myriad of issues lately. The above fix was the only thing I could come up with that worked.

I'll try emptying IE's cache next time.
