Fast forward or backwards when watching replay of any game?

Post by BraveHero »

The "replay" feature of Spring is a very useful feature for newbies learning to play.

However, some of the replays can be quite long. Some players may spent initial time building the base and intensive battles may happen much later in the replay.

Is it possible to "fast forward / backward" when running the replay?
If that's available, it would be more useful like a video player, and you can watch it from any angle :-)

Thanks

if can type /skip number and /skipf number to fast forward without image, like on vhs recorders forwarding without image is faster.

i think /skip 60 goes to minute 1 while /skip +60 goes one minute forward.

backward is not possible.

oh and have you seen this?

Fantastic, I just tried /skip +60 and it works!!! :-)

BTW, where did you find this /skip command?
Is it listed somewhere in the Wiki or other website?

Thanks

Or just adjust the speed (with +/-) and you're less likelyto miss stuff

Specifically, the doc folder is copied into every spring install.

If you enter something in chat and press tab it autocompletes or shows possible variations. Sadly does not work for all commands.
Also works when using /cheat and /give to create units: /give then press tab shows all unit names.
