Error on Single Player - Segmentation Fault (SIGSEGV)

Post by andre.maldonado »

First of all: I can't play this game yet. I'm very excited to play it...

Second, some info:

Acer Aspire One - AO751H
GMA 500
2gb Ram

Map: Battle for PlanetXVII-v01.smf
Mod: Balanced Annihilation V7.12
Bot: AAI 0.9 (Only 1 Bot)

When I try to start the game, all I got is a black screen and, after a minute or two, the following error: "Spring Crashed - Segmentation Fault (SIGSEGV)"

Could someone help me?

Thank's

Code: Select all

[ 0] SDL: 1.2.14
[ 0] GL: 2.0 Mesa 7.4
[ 0] GL: Tungsten Graphics, Inc
[ 0] GL: Mesa DRI Intel(R) GMA500 20081116 - 5.0.1.0046 x86/MMX/SSE2
[ 0] GLEW: 1.5.2
[ 0] Segmentation fault (SIGSEGV) in spring 0.81.2.0
i am sorry, but it is your GFX card(-driver).
I do not know if there are better drivers for your card under linux, then the one you are using there (my guess would be, rather not). Maybe you are lucky under Windows on the same machine, but even if it runs there, you will have problems with large games (and large may not be so large).

Congratulations on running the Pulsebo chipset, we can award you with poor drivers(>source), which even lacks proper Windows support!
Your are screwed, and that is all there is.
