Greetings.

This is my first post on spring.

Let me introduce myself.

I am Dewaldt Steenkamp, owner of the company ysterhand productions after few false errors & above all being betrayed! I close My company due to that! I've return & are busy with an new company just to do RTS games. I am an designer & love RTS games & this is my passion & with spring engine maybe the tide will turn! & make my projects appear.

I had an great success with my project called 'SAW" South Africa Wars! but Like i said in my first Line betrayed!

The few weeks ahead will be hard, but the new web is coming on strong, once i have everything done i will show it. Then i can begin to use my brainstorming mind & creat games again! I need an Request if possible? (Someone with great experience in this spring engine)

I've work previously on game engines that is very well known as - T3D / Unity / UDK / A7 / & above all els our very own engine that was being develop just for my needs of an RTS game, but all whent down when my company close down, All those engines are really great but since i can't program it made it really hard just to make that happend! I come here now This engine of spring look like it posses great potential.

I want to make my current project done! "SAW" - South Africa Wars is an Historical action RTS game that is currently hold due to my company that is down! - I have an Action Sci-Fi Fiction RTS Game aswell that will follow an epic war between Human & aliens!


The new company of mine will be an free indie gamedev! so all will be made in free time, all will get credits for their support in my Projects! i know an few publsihers aswell, if the game sells i will gladly share profit for those that was involved.

Hi Mate.

Remember the movie "War of the Worlds" I know way back there was an game about it, base on the first ,movie "War of the Worlds" The game will be simmilar to Supreme Commander 2! Were you can control 2 Factions. You will also be able to build those 'Tripods"

Basic it must be an unique RTS game. :)

Hey don't you say Hi? That is the first manner if you meet somebody! That is the designer's "JOB" The ideas, I make the entire game plans From how it works etc. Make marketing plans / GDD / mate!, Notice this is gamedev hey? All in the team does hard work! please don't get me Wrong. That is how i see it!

would be nice to learn more about your ideas. tripod units are certainly possible. spring in its most basic form is set up to emulate TA style gameplay, but as seen in the many projects and games here, a little bit of LUA programming goes a long way.

a good way to familiarize yourself with the engine is to join or help an existing mod/game team, learn from them, and then apply the knowledge to your own projects.

side note : you type like my south african friend speaks when i read it, my brain does a south african accent. my legendary skills of deduction lead me to believe that you are from south africa.

I'll help you on your way by teaching you some basic English skills!
Protip: You don't need to capitalise random words, only the beginning's of sentences or names.

Here's some examples of right and wrong grammatically correct sentences:

Right
Hello there! My name is Jim and I enjoy eating carrot cake whilst cycling.

Hi mate.

I got only this to say, what you are doing is unacceptable mate. Thinking you are better that the rest is "VERY" Bad behaviour, never in your life think your better than other people we as humans are as equal mate!

I found my own game company & it went very well, The project got too big & there was things happening that I was not aware of! I close my company down due to that & are currently busy establishing an new game company. That will be free indie gamedev if you know what I mean. You got no idea what it feels like to lose something that is very close to you.

What have I done to deserve this mate? Why are you so harsh to me? It is clear that you are not on my page mate.

I saw i made some language mistakes yes, I made them right.
