Spring has map/mods/ etc but they really don't matter as a mod can go in maps etc....
so could we just get a /content/ directory? I know some people may want to still use /maps and /mods. that is fine, I just wanted to ask for a third dir.
a /content/ directory.

You mean allow for a merged mod/map directory? Terrible idea.
Maps are by definition different from mods and should not be thrown into the same bin.

Re: a /content/ directory.
I could just put all my crap in spring's base dir...
or I could politely request a generalized structure.

Does it really matter if you call it "base" or "content"?smoth wrote:so could we just get a /content/ directory? I know some people may want to still use /maps and /mods. that is fine, I just wanted to ask for a third dir.
Re: a /content/ directory.
I mean spring base where it stores what it considers the core content.
Re: a /content/ directory.
why does it matter what the directory is called. Just make a simlink to maps, mods, or base called 'content' if ur going to be anal about it...
Re: a /content/ directory.
I was asking the devs. You are not one of them. bye bye.

Via thr use of my crystal ball, I have determined that smoth is thinking about the end user (the end user being totalnub2387) not for himself.
Re: a /content/ directory.
regardless i posted a viable solution that doesnt require any engine change OR lua, which is pretty amazing these days.
Re: a /content/ directory.
There is /packages/ already.
