SpringLobby crash when finishing a bittorrent download

I tried Spring (installed using apt-get from ubuntu repos) on Ubuntu Karmic 32 bits, and SpringLobby systematically crashes without an error message, whenever a bittorrent (map or mod) download is complete.
Edit: It's a different bug than this one.

Then I installed Spring 0.80.5.2 today on a friend's computer to show him the various games, and he has exactly the same problem! (He has a laptop with Windows Vista, don't know the specs.)

Does someone have the same problem, or knows what's going on?

Meanwhile I'm on Windows 7 64-bits and everything works fine... [Edit:]the only thing I did differently (apart from the different OS, of course) is using SpringEngine-Installer.exe to install, instead of the regular download.

I have this often too. (but not always, sometimes it works)
