Both Springlobby and Spring refuse to run

As the title says: both springlobby and running spring.exe directly fails; the program appears in the Task Manager but nothing else happens whatsoever. I've reinstalled Spring; no joy. Anyone got an idea?

EDIT: Ah. O_o. Wiping my mods and maps directory (I'd copied them over) apparently fixed the issue...
Downside is I no longer have any mods or maps.

Move them over in smaller chunks, between each chunk restarting spring and/or springlobby.

I am. It's not the maps; must have been one of the old projects of mine (I usually have a few random .sdd folders kicking around in the mods directory)

if it seems like it is hanging just walk off and do something else. it happens when you have an assload of stuff and have not run spring there yet.

I think it is a pretty asstastic behavior but that is what it is.
