No, it's annoying as hell is what it is.

Yeah it's a feature, some people raged when it was removed one time. Personally I'd rather see it go because it's just pointless IMO...

the idea that one can use chat and pointers to comment a replay is good, although i have not seen it done yet.
if possible, a question like "save new replay with spec chat?" at the end would be nice.
that should only pop up if somethink was said in the chat (should not count commands)
also the naming could be better, for example include modname and add something so you know its no original replay.
and screenshots should always be saved to the same spring\screenshots folder, not demos\screenshots or demos\demos\screenshots

Ops. I have already created an issue at Mantis. What is the purpose of recording while watching a demo? It does not record mouse movements anyway to make it a recording tool to discuss battles. I don't like to see how fast my "demos" folder become a trash. My be the better way is to introduce a corresponding option in springsettings.cfg?Tobi wrote:Yeah it's a feature, some people raged when it was removed one time. you can record chats, points and user drawings, which is how i first learned to play (anybody remember min3mat's replays?) it's pointless most of the time, though, true.

Make it optional, instead of forced.
