TA:WD crashes TA:Spring

Post by GrOuNd_ZeRo »

I was playing a game with Mother and we noticed a few bugs...

1) Heap files weren't properly loaded from the OTAData.sd7 file, we often got errors like 'missing file 3x3a' or something, we fixed this by dumping the heap files in the main WD file.
2) Crashes when certain weapons fire, I am suspecting a targetting error or a problem with weapons with high velocity. (over 800)

Hm not sure what that could be.. I would probably have to get a copy of your files.

We just discovered it's actually the candgun=1; tag in units, didn't cause any problems until now...

Funny enough, only a few of these candgun=1; units have this problem, not all of them, mostly units that have a primary and tertiary weapon only, no secondary.

Could you add an empty weapon? Something that doesn't do anything but fill in the space?

I had problems with crashing with the Jedi unit in Spring, which has a normal basic attack and a dgunnbable saber throw attack. I don't know how to solve it or what exactly the problem is, but disabling either of the weapons solved it... they just wouldn't work together.

Same problem was just found with the TA:FF port. Something that used an OTA wreck model (solar I think) crashed it.

Well, that's rather odd....

Anyway, I fixed most bugs in WD, just adding final touches so all features are supported.
