Where to Start?
Hi everyone, I just joined today and was wondering where to start? Can someone point out a good tutorial because thus far I have been unable to find documentation. Thanks!
Re: Where to Start?
start with what?
as this is the development forum i guess you mean developping..
what are you interested in? what do you want to do, what are your strengths?

Engine development or mod development?

Re: Where to Start?
Well I have been told that I can make a game with the engine. Is that true? If so, how would I start doing that? I am experienced in texturing, modeling, game design, and a little coding.
Re: Where to Start?
Then really this topic belongs in the games and mods forum.
The development forum is more for making changes to the engine itself.
Outline your game design and you'll get feedback on how possible/easy they are to implement in Spring. The best way to learn about how bits of Spring games work is to rip one open and look at it's gooey innards.

Alright, thanks! Sorry about posting in the wrong area.
Re: Where to Start?
One thing I'd recommend would be to spend a few months with a development team, like that of Evolution RTS, Complete Annihilation, or Spring: 1944 to make acquaintances and get a feel for how games are made with this engine.
