A friend of mine and I have been trying to setup a game in SpringLobby v.19 to play BA7.00 under Spring Engine V0.80.4.1. I host a game, he joins the game. I configure a couple of bots, form teams, and hit start. The game starts to load on my computer and he gets a screen that tells him he is trying to connect that has a counter that counts up to 45 seconds. After 40 seconds, I am usually in the game and he is still trying to connect. After 45 seconds his game stops trying to connect and it kicks him back to Windows.
I believe we are having a problem between how our computers connect. Here is what we have tried:
1. We ensured we had the same version of spring
2. We ensured our ports were both open 8452
3. We tried restarting our computers
4. I tried having him host a game.
5. I tried with no bots
6. I verified that both of us can run single player games with bots without any errors
7. We tried both completely disabling our firewalls
8. We tried connecting on Backup Server 1
9. We tried doing a rain dance
Always the same problem. The host gets into a game with the bots and the other player gets kicked to windows after 45 seconds.
Any ideas?

when hosting, try [x] use Hole punching.
can both of you connect to games hosted by other players?
if all else fails, go to an autohost and play there. Autohosts are automatic hosts (orly
) that are usally quite reliable. Use commands like !help !map and !mapvote to change settings.
There should also be an infolog.txt generated by spring.exe, it will probally just say "blabla timeout" but maybe it contains usefull info.
