Does anyone feel that the typemap needs to be higher res?

I've been having difficulties alining the typemap with the texture, and I feel it's because the typemap is too low resolution. Has anyone else found this? If it were 2x the resolution in each dimension, then that would really help, I reckon.

It would also degrade performance, increase the requirements, and would not fit the pattern set down by the other files. Just try to work around it.

Ehh Im ok with the typemap res (__________________i__________________) <thatsa a big butt>

I would be VERY supportive of quadruplin' the heightmap res! (1/4+1).

It's just rather odd when units are on a certain terrain but are behaving like they are on a different type. For example, in Windswept Desert, which i've been trying to make playable :?, the units are often slowed down to the speed of sand on rock and sped up to the speed of rock on sand.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work around this?
