I want to make a suggestion for all lobbies.
Please include a way to browse the channel list and join channels without using commands.
I only know the layout of TASclient so i'll make a specific suggestion to it.
Have a button above the player list that changes the player list into a channel list and back.
After you see the channel list it would b nice to be able to double click a channel and join it and have different kind of sorting like with the player list.
You can implement it in the way you see fit of course but the main thing is to add the possibility to browse the channel list and join channel without giving out textual commands.
Forgot something.
I also want to ask for a voting system.
If it is possible than in it would be nice to have an option to start a channel with voting and polling abilities.
The poll would appear as a topic, jumping in when you join the channel and would be nice to be able to set a timer for it so that afterward it is over and only shows the poll results(should be allowed to make voting anonymous if need be).
Another thing is more support for moderation.
I'm not sure what the needs of moderators are or what is already available to them but it would be great to have an inbuilt system in the lobby that support all the actions a moderators needs to do with the appropriate UI buttons and all that goes along with it.
Ideally would be good if a lobby could cover everything a moderator or the moderation team does.

Re: Lobbies
Springlobby has both these already for as long as I can remember.Gota wrote:I want to make a suggestion for all lobbies.

Tools > Channel list
Tools > Join channel
The channel list also tells you the number of users and the channel topic. You can double click on a channel in the list to join it.
QtLobby has the graphical way to join channels already (blue plus sign next to the channel tabs brings up a dialogue asking which channel you would like to join) but not the channel list yet afaik.
Re: Lobbies
I personally dislike the "advances" made thus far in some lobbies for moderator commands, disabling the classic text commands in favour of right click menus. Please bring back my text command interface so I don't have to mouse around on something as trivial as a mute, and I won't be stuck muting some poor fool because the userlist refreshed and the selection changed.
Re: Lobbies
you can right clic directly on the username in the chat in tasclient !!! a two clic mute directly in the chatneddiedrow wrote:I personally dislike the "advances" made thus far in some lobbies for moderator commands, disabling the classic text commands in favour of right click menus. Re: Lobbies
Maybe highlight nicknames in some way so they look a bit like a link?that way people will feel like they can interact with them.
Or maybe just make nicknames in the chat change color like as link when the cursor goes past them.

Re: Lobbies
Battlehub had a nice categorized channel list with custom channel icons, why has this not been replicated elsewhere?
