Not a criticism of you aGorm but do all map makers have some insane gamma/brightness on their monitors or why do they produce maps that force one to turn them up to see anything ? (from the screenshots this map looks pretty dark)

Well, i'll be the first to admit my monitors colours settings are off a bit, but now im at work the screen shotys look basicly the same...
It may be because the map has got near black fog settings, and that the nest mountain is about 20 old screens away... so not surpisingly its obscured.
In over head view the map is very bright, ill add a screen to show you tonight...
Also, it's got a skybox, but as they dont work on my computer its not in the screenshots, but its a star filled sky... (better than the 1 i gave you SJ on my test, as its twice the res...). Actull, seeing as you had my test one, would you say it was to dark when you were on it. I think teh light settings should be the same...

I suppose that one is somewhat ok aGorm although I would probably increase my gamma a notch or two before playing a serious game on it.

Another thing to think about is that these near black skyboxes will make reflective materials on units a lot darker.

ok, noted, i'll make it a tiny bit brighter... then the units should stand out better as they will be quite dark due to the night time sky box...

The other map will have similar settings...

Both maps are Finshed!!

But due to file Univers being down as i type... you'll habve to wait till tommorow to start playing them!

The second map is Acid Bridge, its 16x32 Two teams map.

Just a little bit more wiating...

Look at the dates between your post and mine. Six minutes. It was working then and even while you made that post of yours, since I was shuffling a few files off into their proper categories at the time. It was probably just a random DNS fart, which is fairly common.

Well that sux! It's working now i know... but im at work and cant upload.

(BTW it wasn't a DNS fart, seeing as the actuilly site was there, it was just it had a script error that was stoping it from showing anuything.)

Well basicly we need a mapconv that read the trees from the metalmap instead of the texturemap....

acidbridge- has way to much metal on it imo, a single mex gave me 5.5 metal...

on acid quadratic i dislike the water around it.. it makes it looks silly imo..

besides those points the maps look great, great work man..
